A passionate developer

A Yu-Gi-Oh! fan for 20 years and a software engineer. The bigger my collection grew, the more impossible it became to keep it organised.

A real headache

Finding a card, avoiding duplicates, completing a deck, estimating a price… Without the right tool, every sorting session turned into a chore.

SetOScan was born

I built the tool I always wished I had. Scan, organise and find your cards in seconds.

This project is carried by one person alone. A small gesture makes all the difference.

Scanning, your collection, card prices, plans: the questions we get asked most.

Open the scanner in the app and move your cards in front of the camera: each one is identified in ~0.5s, then added to your collection. Continuous scan handles them one at a time without you pressing anything: you keep moving through your cards and the app identifies them as you go.

Around ten minutes for a binder. In continuous scan, the app analyses roughly 3 frames per second and adds a card as soon as it is certain it has recognised it. If it cannot pin down the card's exact edition, it asks you to select it yourself. Set the filters to match what you are scanning and the app no longer needs to interrupt you — that is also what makes identification faster.

Prices come from Cardmarket and are refreshed every day, for every card and every edition. You get the lowest price, the trend, and the 1-, 7- and 30-day averages — enough to place a card and to spot the right moment to buy the ones you are missing. One caveat: the prices shown do not yet account for a card's condition or language. That is coming.

Yes. Your collection is tied to your account and held server-side. Install SetOScan on your new phone, sign in, and it is all there. Moving from Android to iPhone, or the other way round, is no trouble at all.

Yes, in a free version that goes up to 2,000 cards in your collection — enough for five well-filled binders — with 100 scans a day, plus 300 free scans in your first week. Two subscriptions lift the collection limit and the scan quota: Standard at €3.99/month and Premium at €9.99/month, cheaper by the year. What each plan includes is set out on the home page, in the Pricing section.
