SetOScan is a Yu-Gi-Oh! collection manager for iPhone and Android. It scans your cards with the camera to digitise your collection in minutes, tells you where each card is stored and follows its Cardmarket price day by day. Built by a player, for players.

Open the scanner in the app and move your cards in front of the camera: each one is identified in ~0.5s, then added to your collection. Continuous scan handles them one at a time without you pressing anything: you keep moving through your cards and the app identifies them as you go.

Around ten minutes for a binder. In continuous scan, the app analyses roughly 3 frames per second and adds a card as soon as it is certain it has recognised it. If it cannot pin down the card's exact edition, it asks you to select it yourself. Set the filters to match what you are scanning and the app no longer needs to interrupt you — that is also what makes identification faster.

Yes, without taking anything out. Sleeves are no problem, and the scan works through binder pages too. You do not even need to aim: the card does not have to be centred, straight, or even fully in frame. The one case that takes a little care is the very shiny rarities — find the angle that cuts the reflections and the card comes through.

The scan identifies the card reliably, and tries to identify its edition. Where there is doubt, the app offers you the different versions. Rarity is not identified automatically: whenever one card exists in several rarities within the same set, as in the Rarity Collection sets, it asks which one you own. Set the filters (rarity / edition) when you scan a batch to avoid the interruptions.

Yes, the scan works with cards in every TCG language. The app tries to work out the language while scanning; where it hesitates, you can pin it in the filters, as with edition and rarity. The database covers the whole TCG card pool, including regional exclusives (Canada, Australia and so on). OCG cards — the Japanese and Asian printings — are planned for later.

The scan needs a connection: cards are identified server-side, and that is where your collection is synchronised. Worth keeping in mind before a long scanning session — at a convention or in a shop, the signal is not always there.

Create your storage locations — binders, boxes, decks — and file your cards into them as you scan. A search then gives you the exact position, in the terms that fit the storage: the page and the slot in a binder, the position number in a box, or the deck the card is sitting in. No more turning everything upside down to lay hands on a card, or buying again one you already had somewhere.

Prices come from Cardmarket and are refreshed every day, for every card and every edition. You get the lowest price, the trend, and the 1-, 7- and 30-day averages — enough to place a card and to spot the right moment to buy the ones you are missing. One caveat: the prices shown do not yet account for a card's condition or language. That is coming.

Yes. The app adds up the Cardmarket prices of all your cards and highlights the most valuable ones. In the settings you choose which price the total is based on — lowest price, trend or average — depending on whether you want a cautious estimate or a market one. Bear in mind it is an order of magnitude: card condition does not enter the calculation yet. It is plenty to know what you own, or to work out a fair trade in seconds.

Yes. Your collection is tied to your account and held server-side. Install SetOScan on your new phone, sign in, and it is all there. Moving from Android to iPhone, or the other way round, is no trouble at all.

Yes for your collection: import and export both work in CSV or Excel (.xlsx). Enough to bring over an inventory you already keep in a spreadsheet without scanning it again — and to leave with your data whenever you want. Deck import is in preparation.

Yes, in a free version that goes up to 2,000 cards in your collection — enough for five well-filled binders — with 100 scans a day, plus 300 free scans in your first week. Two subscriptions lift the collection limit and the scan quota: Standard at €3.99/month and Premium at €9.99/month, cheaper by the year. What each plan includes is set out on the home page, in the Pricing section.

The quickest way is from the app: Settings > Subscription > Manage my subscription. You can also do it from your store — on iPhone: Settings > your name > Subscriptions; on Android: Play Store > your profile picture > Payments and subscriptions. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Your collection is kept in full: if it is over the free limit, you simply will not be able to add cards while you are above it.

SetOScan is available on Android (Google Play Store) and on iPhone and iPad (App Store) — the download buttons are on the home page. A web app to browse your collection on a big screen is in the works.

No. SetOScan is an independent project built by a passionate player, with no connection to Konami or to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. Card data comes from YGOPRODeck and Yugipedia, prices from Cardmarket. Card names and artwork remain the property of their respective rights holders.
